Thank you for considering a volunteer opportunity. Open Arms Mission is a non-profit 501(C)(3) community outreach organization providing assistance with daily living necessities and professional referrals for residents of Antioch and Lake Villa Townships.

 

Our main focus is to meet the needs of our neighbors through distribution of a portion of their weekly food and daily necessities. Second, we are here to listen and determine if we can assist or refer for any additional needs. As a 100% volunteer organization, there is always a need of volunteers who want to make a difference, “neighbor helping neighbor”. We are currently in need of the following Coordinators. 

 

BUDGET COUNSELING COORDINATOR

Learn & facilitate the Envelop System

Coordinate weekly workshops for clients

Train 2 individuals to assist in facilitating

HEALTH CARE/PRESCRIPTION COORDINATOR

Design and update a Health Information Board

Ongoing research of local medical and dental

    service that accept Medicaid and All Kids

INTAKE COORDINATOR

Train new Intake Volunteers

Update Intake Volunteers monthly

 JOB PREPAREDNESS

Design and Update a Job Board

Survey the need for GED classes

Coordinate GED classes   

 MARKETING COORDINATOR

Develop a Marketing Calendar

Coordinate Press Releases

Develop new Marketing

 NETWORKING COORDINATOR FOR JOB SEARCHES

 

   Develop and facilitate a Networking Group

 

 OFFICE COORDINATOR

Volunteer 2 days a week in office

Phones and clerical

 

SPECIAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Track and Record Cost for each program

Develop and oversee volunteers for programs
