The
philosophy of the Mother Teresa Home is: “In providing a mother with a clean,
safe and supportive environment in which to raise her children, we as a
community are giving her the tools necessary to be a mom.”
Mother Teresa Home is a transitional program for women and their families who
are experiencing extraordinary life situations that have forced them out of
their homes. Families are assisted with a safe and clean home, basic needs,
food, medical care, counseling, mentoring, referrals and daily living
necessities in order to build emotional strength toward self-sufficiency.
Families in our program never envisioned themselves in a situation of being
homeless. Circumstances happen. We do not plan abusive relationships, serious
illness, injury, losing a job, divorce, rehab or an incarcerated spouse. Each of
these situations by itself is a challenge and now add daily living needs,
financial commitments, insurance and automobile expenses. The situation begins
to spiral out of control. Most of us can turn to family or friends, but for some
that is not possible. Through the Mother Teresa Home, as it is with all of its
programs, Open Arms Mission is there to help with emotional and daily living
assistance.
The Mother Teresa Program is a testament to “love thy neighbor as you love
yourself."

"Don't
be troubled. You trust God, now trust in Me. There are
many rooms in My Father's home, and I am going to
prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would
tell you plainly."
