Fill the Milk Jug Program

Milk provides essential nutrients to create strong bodies and mins.Open ArmsMission is the only food pantry in Lake County to offer milk. In 2009, we provided our neighbors in need with 8,944 gallons of milk.

Our milk bill is high – more than $2,000 per month! The goal of the Fill the Milk Jug Program is to cover this cost. Open Arms Mission Fill the Milk Jugs can be found at many participating local retailers and churches.

You Can Help

When you see a Fill the Milk Jug, donate whatever change you have on hand.

If you don’t see a Fill the Milk Jug, ask your local retailer if they would be interested in placing one on a checkout counter. If so, call us and we’ll make sure to get a Jug over there. You can also start a Fill the Milk Jug program in your church or office.

Parents: Consider starting a Fill the Milk Jug at home. It’s a great way to help others and teach your children about the needs of our community and neighbors.
