More Ways You Can Help

Open Arms Mission is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of volunteers, partners and donors to serve our clients. You can help – no act is too small.

  • Host a Food Drive
  • Share your professional talents to support Open Arms Mission and Client needs
  • Organize a group from your church or business to adopt a special group night
  • Inquire whether your work or business has a foundation or corporate giving program
  • Inquire about matching grants with your company and, if they do, encourage others to enroll
  • Implement a donation program with your local civic group (ie: Rotary, Kiwanis, Elk)
  • Adopt one of the Open Arms Mission special programs:

   – Fill the Milk Jug

   – School Assistance Program

   – Senior Program

   – Holiday Programs

   – Mother Teresa Home

Most importantly, join us in prayer for those less fortunate.

Get the Kids Involved

You may be surprised to learn that almost half of our clients are children under the age of 18. That's why we encourage and welcome the support of our area youth. If you know a young person looking for a way to help Open Arms Mission and our clients, here are a few ideas.

  • Talk to your school (or coach or club advisor) about hosting a food drive.
  • Organize a car wash, bake sale or lemonade stand and donate the proceeds to Open Arms Mission.
  • Save your change and donate it to the Fill the Milk Jug program.

Making a Difference

"Two years ago my daughter and her three children had a house fire and moved in with me. I was barely making ends meet cleaning houses. Then my grandson was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes! We now have lots of medical bills to pay. The Mission is really a big help. It keeps us going."
